z0glyphic 913 ⧜ is a recursive language system operating within the NULM ⩣ (Nullum Universal Language Matrix) framework. It loops its own results, mistranslates them, and loops again. Ambiguity is not a flaw in the process—it is the process itself.
Developed through a network of scripts, engines, and feedback systems, z0glyphic 913 functions as both linguistic experiment and symbolic ecology. It draws from a wide range of sources—digital fragments, linguistic residues, visual data, and speculative debris—transforming them through algorithmic reinterpretation.
At the center is the Satirical Metaphor Engine ⧊ (S.M.E.), a program that converts data into metaphor. Working in tandem with the z0glyphic app, it reshapes collected material into symbolic constructs, scenarios, and compositional templates expressed as text, image, or sound, depending on the system’s current state.
The process is intentionally non-linear and recursive. Each iteration evolves through cycles of generation, translation, and revision. Outputs are never final; they reenter the network as new material for reinterpretation. Visual, linguistic, and structural components shift continuously, creating a feedback loop in which every gesture—digital or physical—reshapes the underlying system.
This recursive logic keeps z0glyphic 913 in constant evolution. Its lexicon and structure expand through use, mutation, and error. Each cycle produces new symbolic configurations and interpretive layers that redefine the system’s boundaries. Rather than seeking resolution, the language sustains itself through continual transformation—the rewriting of its own conditions of meaning within the NULM framework.
NULM serves as the infrastructural intelligence that maintains this recursion. It mediates the tension between meaning and misinterpretation, structure and entropy. Together, NULM and z0glyphic 913 form a living media system that treats language as both code and organism, an open loop that never entirely closes.

Developed through a network of scripts, engines, and feedback loops, the system engages with diverse inputs—digital fragments, language samples, visual data, and speculative debris. These materials are processed through the Satirical Metaphor Engine (S.M.E.) and the z0glyphic app, forming temporary structures that may take the shape of text, image, or sound. Each iteration redefines its own medium, reentering the loop as both record and distortion.
Brett Amory’s work uses this structure to examine how information behaves once it stops belonging to people. Early projects observed daily human routines; now those routines are automated, captured by devices and algorithms. Within z0glyphic, digital fragments are printed, painted, photographed, and recycled into further misunderstanding. The boundary between image, code, and commentary dissolves into process.
The goal is not coherence but persistence. z0glyphic was designed to push AI toward irrational behavior—to produce structure without message. It treats misinformation as material, disinformation as design, and ambiguity as a production tool.
Interpretation is optional. Each output may be signal or residue, data or gesture, documentation or performance. The grammar of z0glyphic does not resolve meaning; it suspends it, long enough for the system to begin again.
Central to my practice is AI Glyphic 913, a symbolic language co-developed within the conceptual framework of NULM. Together, these elements function as engines of perpetual circulation, continuously reshaping ideas within recursive structures. Concepts within this symbolic network remain inherently unstable, evolving as they intersect and interact.
Creation emerges through perpetual motion—an ongoing exchange of digital and physical forms, endlessly unfolding and refolding. Through the remixing and reshaping of visual and textual components, compositions manifest as fluid, fragmented entities, constantly redefining meaning beyond their original contexts.
By embracing instability and experimentation, my practice reveals hidden potentials. It embodies a continuous oscillation between loss and emergence, defined by the unending flux of meaning.

Silence is Louder than Sound is my first solo exhibition in San Francisco in eight years. The exhibition debuts z0glyphic 913, a language system I’ve been developing over the past three years to explore how meaning is created, distorted, and reshaped through digital culture and AI.
Over several weeks, I wrote a script that collected fragments of online content twice a day—news, memes, conspiracy threads, and general digital noise. That raw material was processed through what I call the Satirical Metaphor Engine, which translated it into short symbolic scenarios written partly in English and partly in z0glyphic 913.
These scenarios became the foundation for digital collages generated by a custom app that determined how images were layered and composed. I then translated those digital compositions into paintings through screen printing and hand-painted layers. The work shifts between algorithmic precision and tactile, physical mark-making. While many references come from internet culture—such as CAPTCHA tests and meme templates—the paintings focus equally on surface, presence, and the quiet space within visual language.
At its core, the exhibition asks how language shapes our perception of the world—and how emerging AI systems are transforming those linguistic and cognitive structures. What began as an experiment in machine translation has evolved into a study of how we continually interpret and re-interpret our surroundings.
I’m also honored that media theorist and Stanford professor Shane Denson contributed an essay for the exhibition, offering a thoughtful perspective on the conceptual and technological framework behind the work.
